Infrared photo taken 8/11/08, photo shows main electrical conductors, main 100 amp breaker, 60 amp breaker for a sub panel. Only system opeating in this house was the central air conditioning unit. Main breaker and conductors were hot. A licensed electrician verifed this condition. Seller installed a new 200 amp service in the home, and was not aware of this condition. Side note, a city housing code inspection was completed before the home inspection was completed and the city inspector did not catch this condition.

In keeping with modern technology, KDR Home Inspections now offers thermal imaging.

    The infrared thermal imaging camera is used when suspected problem areas are found. The camera is mainly used for detecting heat loss. Other areas where it is used are, electrcial, HVAC, and plumbing and areas where suspected moisture penetration are found.
